              Some people even roll through the test with seriously modified cars, however the closer to stock you are (at least by the looks) the smaller the chance is to have any trouble 🙂

              I have never done anything before i go to besikting and get my car tested and it is quite modified as you can se on my page at garaget, last year i even have race seats and a sparco stearing wheel with quick-release in itd—0.o—b

                    Nice motor!

                    I’m from the UK as well and understand and share your concerns. I had a hypothetical conversation with my insurance company (Motormännen) concerning “mods” and they stated that they wouldn’t be able to insure the car. Getting it through besiktningen has never been a problem.

                    Igge, I’d like to know what company you use because this fact weighs heavily on my mind. I’d like to get back the cost of my mods should I ever have the misfortune of being involved in an accident.

                        Not sure if the insurance covers the parts, however they stated the insurance (apart from engine failure) would still be valid 🙂

                        Spoke to a girl at trygg hansa yesterday and she took the question to their second line to be sure 🙂

                              If you want to be sure then call and ask. If you make the call in your name (with social security number) they will probably log the answer. Otherwise you should be able to note name of the one you spoke with and date/time.

                              Worked that way when I worked at the customer support for an ISP, probably similar method at an insurance company 🙂

                              Edit: if they record the agreement over the phone you can also state that you agree if that statement (about tuning) is true 🙂
