Well, I have owned my 02 wrx for a long time for a few years it sat in the garage broken down. I bought it with a bad motor and body, I built the motor onbly to have it break down again in a month.
About a year ago before moving to Sweden Goteborg. I was joking around and searched for a engine for my car. Found a JDM EJ 205 complete with trans for only 1400$ which is extremely cheap, I sold the trans for 600$.
I Installed the motor, and left the car for my dad, he then took it to a tuner shop to get it tuned via opensource.
For a TD04-HL turbo it made quite abit of power without pushing it too far and injector duty only went up to 70%.
here is a thread on nasioc about my car, I still have some work to do in the engine bay.. something is rattling around causing false knock, tuner had to add timing to work with the false knock. Also once i get that sorted out and add more parts i have ordered… I will hopefully push the car to atleast 250whp and hopefully about 240 Torq.

Also I need some help passing my road inspection, My car is fully catless, with a 3 inch downpipe and midpipe mated to a sti muffler. I will not pass with this at all, I was hoping someone could help me out and do a a day swap or if you have a extra stock exhaust laying around I could purchase, Or even if you just have a Uppipe with a car in it, it should be enough.
Also my fender dont have blinkers on them, I will be purchasing the lights for it, but il need help cutting and fitting them on to my fenders.
Any help would be great!
One last thing to say! I will be bringing my Tuning stuff with me! Any subaru above 2001 can be tuned, I hope you guys are familier with Opensource! Just hook up my laptop to the OBD-2 connection in the car and bam, I can download the map off the ECU and do changes in it! This will also work on Evos.
I dont speak much Swedish since I work alot I havnt had anytime to practice. but i have learned a few words.
Edit the elevation where my car got tuned at is 450m. Goteborg is 150m.
Il be picking up power just by moving here!
Also I have Ebay headlights.. I may need to borrow someone’s headlight for inspection or if someone can sell me a pair.. Im not sure if my headlights will pass, but if im not able to find anything i was just going to retro fit them and make them work.Thanks for all the help, I hope this community is as nice as the one back home!

If im not mistaken .
If you bring the car here as a ”flyttgods” as you say in Swedish .
The rules that i know of are alot nicer concerning the exhaust (lambda ,co2, hc )
Cause when my friend moved here from the states he brought it in as a ”moving good´s” and he had a couple of modifications on it and they didnt say a word .
Because when you have it as a shipping/moving good´s you have no regulations on the exhaust .But if u just shipped it like you would buying a car there then this doesnt apply .
It only applys when you take it in as a ”flyttgods”

Hmm, well I cant bring it as flyttsgods, The car is mine but i put in my parents name for insurance reasons, much much much cheaper.
They transfered the car to my name in the USA already and it has plates under my name so I will have to pay taxes. Hopefully im lucky enough to pass inspection, The engine bay looks stock.. for now! its just the exhaust system I am worried about.Il be bumping this thread and checking up on it everynow and then. Once end of September comes il need your guys help!

I drive my car catless as well, and when it’s time for ”besiktning” i just change the downpipe to the original one with cat. Works everytime.

I do have a stock downpipe but the problem is, I wont be able to ship it over here at the same time.
Nothing is allowed to be in the car, well they told me I can but huge chance it wont be there when it arrives, so I wont be shipping it. I am willing to pay someone to let me borrow their exhaust setup for a day if needed. Il buy the gaskets too!
Or if someone knows a shop that will pass my car easily.. that works too 😀

mate i have a stock for sti 2003, check if that works on your, if it does you can borrow it for inspection. i live in malmö so you know. PM me if you need it !:)

Will do, it will fit, All subaru parts are interchangable, from ej205 to ej207 to ej257. I really appreciate it, I can prob pick it up first week I get the car. I dont mind driving to malmo for fun!
