      Hi All,

I would like to upgrade my 2011 Impreza WRX STI around 350-400 hp-basicly 400 HP 😀

Can you suggest me Subaru specialist workshop where they make a good job and the prices are not in the sky ?

Do you have idea on which way shall i start the engine upgrade?

What is you opinion of the 400hp? is it difficult to reach it?
After the tuning what about the maintenence? does it becomes to difficult?

Now i am living nex to Växjö and for the usual maintenece i take my car to Motorsport AB (Normal Subaru Shop and Service).

      Thank you for your help!
      Peter

Well piston are usually the weak link.

A change of pistons, better fuel pump, exhaust and remap should get you to ~350
400 you need turbo and injectors

Biggest problem is the are no Subaru Specialists in Sweden, but maybe a company like Trollspeed can help you.

But it will be expenssive sice you need motor work.

Or just remap the car an fix the egnine when the problems comes.

Best buy a built forged short block from ex UK

          Thanks,

I got info from Hungary(once a year i go there) they said forged pistons, rods, bearings etc, exhauset, remaping ect 350 also, and they said aprox 55.000 kr.

for 400, front mount cooler, turbo, they said approx 115.000 kr

For 350 you don’t “need” pistons; fuel pump, downpipe, race cat and free flowing exhaust, and a remap on that. I would go easy on the ignition. Min 98 ron fuel.

400 stock sti ic is still ok, injectors, turbo and a 3 port boost controller, the pistons will be living on borrowed time, but if you keep knock under control it’s not impossible.

The question you can ask yourself: should I pay a ton of money up front and then feel a little more relaxed, or should I enjoy it for as long as it lasts and then pay a ton once the pistons give up. 😉

If i start the tuning, the engine will go forged, it is sure, i don not want to get in trouble if the pistons gives up.

exatly on that time if i am goint to Hungary, in the middle of europe it is not good to have a blown engine 😀
