I installed Engine mounts today, while driving the car feels amazing, no vibrations or extra noise while driving, just instant response from engine.
Negatives thou cold start has tons of vibrations, once up to temp almost non but slight increase from stock.
Seeing how stiff these mounts are im not sure il change the transmission mount with anything but OEM replacement.
I wont be using the engine cradle I got, only the steering rack.
So I have cleaned the rack up and will aim to put on next weekend as well as control arms and D2, etc all the goodies.26 april, 2017 kl. 19:23 #276588HightoneDeltagareCoilovers installed and Aluminum Control arms installed 🙂 Alignment done and oil change done. Im ready for first track day of the year! Kinnekulle Ring here I come (May 1st!)

Nice!
Non JDM I guess?
What type of front, center and rear diff?

Non JDM just because i sourced this 6 speed cheap.
Front should be A.P Suretrac and Center is Viscious 4kg, Rear is A.P Suretrac as well. Will be interesting to see how this effects cornering seeing as I have Open diff in front, viscious in center and shitty tiny Viscious in rear which is pretty much a open diff.

Okay!
I think I’d prefer something stronger than suretrac in the rear, but I guess it’s still an upgrade from the viscous 🙂
10 maj, 2017 kl. 06:25 #276510KvarnisDeltagareWell the 6-speed is nice 5/6 gerar can have a bit of overdrive feel on on 4>5th.
But Good tq will cure most of that 🙂What year did it come from 06/07 have even taller ratios that more suited for 2.5l

Should be from 01-05, I dont believe the drop from 4>5th will be a problem at all. I can see it being a problem with standard wrx engine or 2.5l sti engine that go to 7000rpm.
Main bonus will be the extra wheel torq available, at 200m drag it will actually be faster with the 6 speed, the issue im having is having to shift right before crossing into 3rd with my speed, with the 6 speed il be crossing in 3rd still but it wont be as big of a inconvenience.
400m should also improve as well with the same logic.
With my powerband and high rpm from my JDM motor its minor.01-03 USDM wrx 5 speed vs EDM/USDM 6 speed 01-05 ratio.
As you can see, the 5 speed and 6 speed gearing are almost identicle with the exception of the 6speed having a extra gear bewteen 1/4Shifting at 8000rpm
5700rpm at 112mph from 3rd to 4th in 5 speed
5800rpm at 114mph from 4th to 5th in 6 speed6 speed from 01-05 EDM/USDM vs JDM 6 Speed Close ratio
Comparing these two at 8000rpm shift, the gap is only about 600rpm difference. While the torq available might drop its not a huge inconveniece since Il still land very well in powerband.

I think the suretrac will be more then enough, the only problem with the suretrac is if one wheel gets air it acts like a open diff. Other then that its a strong unit and really amazing.
12 maj, 2017 kl. 06:06 #276511KvarnisDeltagareYeah 8k rpm will help a lot 🙂
I did run with a EDM-03 6-speed 7k rpm with a GT30 bolt on and a 2.5l hybrid conversion but tbh it was a loooong time ago(12 years). And with 7k rpm I did miss my 5 speed when racing straight, but don’t remember every detail tbh 😉20 juni, 2017 kl. 19:27 #276594HightoneDeltagareOEM Anti Surge 😉
Complete rear end being redone, bushing etc.
DIY rear subframe lockdown bolts, thanks to a fellow subie owner tat made the pieces!
6 speed Exedy Hyper clutch 🙂
r180 swap and rear sti hubs is getting putting on atm, brembos etc.
6 speed swap been a delay sadly because of the shitty freight company has put the pallet on hold for no reason. Thanks to InzoLino for helping as always.
